2019 District Family Fun Day & AG Planning Session
District 6250 – AG Planning, District Family Fun Day & District Governor Welcome, Past District Governor’s Dinner.
On June 30th, from noon until 5:00 pm, the Fort Atkinson Rotary Club will hold its annual Family Picnic at the Rotary Pavilion and Aquatic Center at Rock River Park in Fort Atkinson. In the spirit of 2019-20 RI President Mark Maloney’s call to involve family and friends in Rotary; this year they are inviting all District 6250 Rotarians and their families to join them in ushering in the new Rotary year and Edwin Bos’ year as District Governor.
Everyone is welcome to join the Fort Atkinson Rotary Club as it holds a short award’s ceremony during the course of the afternoon but other than that there is no set program. The 100+ acre Rock River Park has a lot to offer: an aquatic center with waterslide, basketball court, tennis courts, archery range, disk golf course, hiking trails and, of course, the old Fort! Want to just relax? Have a few beers or a glass of wine at the Rotary Pavilion and just relax under the oak trees as your kids or grandkids have an unsupervised blast 😊
For those interested, 2020 District RotaryFest Chair Bob Jonas will organize private driving tours of some of the 2020 RotaryFest sites and explain what RotaryFest will have in store for District Rotarians from June 19-21, 2020. Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to get the inside scope on how your District Conference is being transformed into a District Festival (and Conference)!
You may have heard that the Fort Atkinson Rotary Club serves some of the finest food in the District and this picnic will be no different. $15 for adults and $10 for kids under 12 gets you a catered picnic lunch including craft beers and “fine” wine. Alternatively, feel free to bring your own grill, picnic lunch and/or drinks if you prefer to go that route.
